Allegations of Sabotage: PDP Campaign Council Accuses APC of Instigating Motor Park Violence
In a heated virtual interview from Osogbo on Channels TV, Hon. Bamidele Salam, Chairman of the Imole PDP Campaign Council and member of the House of Representatives, raised alarm over escalating political violence across Osun State ahead of the August 15 gubernatorial election.
Salam accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of deploying notorious thugs to forcibly seize control of motor parks in Ede, Osogbo, and surrounding areas. He alleged that the invasion of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) hubs is a calculated attempt by the opposition to dismantle the logistic chain of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which relies heavily on the union to transport electoral materials to over 3,700 polling units.
Rebutting the Police Allegations: Government House Search Challenge
Addressing claims made by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) suggesting that Governor Ademola Adeleke may be harboring wanted thugs and criminals within the Osun State Government House, Hon. Salam strongly denied the rumors, framing them as APC propaganda.

Rather than expressing a lack of confidence in INEC, Salam explained that the 10 posers raised by the campaign council were derived from analyzing recent electoral failures across Ekiti, Nasarawa, Kano, and FCT elections
Salam concluded by calling on President Bola Tinubu and the Inspector General of Police to issue strict neutrality orders to all security agencies, warning that the police must not allow non-state actors in branded political buses to brandish weapons freely in broad daylight.
