The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has triggered widespread national debate following its announcement that state governors are proposing ₦100,000 as the new national minimum wage.

Spurred by relentless inflation, the soaring cost of living, and the fiscal room created by fuel subsidy removal, the Chairman of the NGF and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, confirmed that governors are trying to strike a delicate balance.
