Sunday Igboho Pledges Compliance With Oyo State Private Security Executive Order

Prominent Yoruba cultural and rights activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, widely known as Sunday Igboho, has announced that his newly established regional security organization, the Iru Ekun Security Network, is fully prepared to launch tactical operations aimed at clearing terrorists, bandits, and kidnappers out of forests across the South-West geopolitical zone.

Speaking via an official press statement released on Monday, May 25, 2026, Igboho disclosed that the security outfit is currently on standby, awaiting formal structural approval and operational clearance from the Federal Government before deploying its personnel into the field.

The security initiative comes on the heels of recent alarming security breaches in the region, including the violent abduction of school pupils and the tragic beheading of a teacher in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Igboho emphasized that all necessary registration protocols, administrative paperwork, and procedural prerequisites have already been successfully compiled and submitted to federal authorities in Abuja.

Seeking to establish a transparent and legally compliant framework, the activist explicitly maintained that the Iru Ekun Security Network will work in close, symbiotic harmony with conventional state security architectures—including the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Army, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Furthermore, Igboho expressed his absolute willingness to comply fully with the newly enacted Executive Order signed by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, which aims to strictly regulate, monitor, and coordinate the activities of private security outfits and local groups to guarantee absolute law and order.
