At least 30 people, including women and children, have been killed following a deadly attack on Naridon village in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The assault, which occurred late Sunday night, saw unidentified gunmen surround the remote community, opening fire indiscriminately on residents and setting multiple homes and shops ablaze.
Local community leaders confirmed that search and recovery efforts are still underway, with fears that the death toll could increase as several critically injured residents receive treatment.
The incident has heightened security concerns across Southern Kaduna, prompting residents to demand immediate intervention and additional troop deployments from state and federal authorities to safeguard vulnerable rural communities.
