Controversial social media influencer and self-acclaimed relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka—popularly known as Blessing CEO—is dominating national headlines following her simultaneous legal battles with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over multiple multi-million naira property scam allegations.
The topic is trending intensely because the EFCC’s Lagos Zonal Directorate officially arraigned Blessing CEO before Justice R.A. Oshodi at the Lagos Special Offences Court in Ikeja on a fresh, secondary two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing to the tune of ₦69.15 million.
The anti-graft agency alleges that the influencer fraudulently induced Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited to part with the funds by falsely claiming she owned a property at No. 1 Tunbosun Osobu Street in Lekki, which she purportedly leased to them for five years before the actual owner ejected the clinic.
The social media space is buzzing over her dramatic legal situation.
On the exact same day she pleaded not guilty to the fresh ₦69.15 million scam and was remanded in EFCC custody, Justice Deinde Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi concurrently granted her a ₦10 million bail in a separate, older ₦36 million property fraud case involving another complainant.
Because her defense counsel must now scramble to perfect her new bail applications and manage her multiple trials, her dual remand and bail conditions have kept her name at the absolute top of entertainment and judiciary timelines.
