Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, is at the center of fierce political warfare after the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) leveled heavy allegations of financial misconduct and institutional abuse against his administration.
The executive controversy is trending because the Osun APC Campaign Council publicly demanded that Governor Adeleke provide a transparent, itemized breakdown of ₦14.9 billion in security votes allocated to the state.
The opposition party escalated the attack by directly accusing the governor of using operatives of the state-backed security outfit, Amotekun, to illegally guard his family’s private business enterprises instead of deploying them to protect vulnerable communities.

The issue has sparked intense debate on social media between government critics and loyalists. The Osun PDP and the Governor’s Campaign Council have fired back aggressively, declaring that the APC's claims are completely fabricated lies born out of political frustration.
The administration clarified that Amotekun operatives are strictly deployed in accordance with regional security mandates, dismissing the allegations as a desperate smear campaign ahead of upcoming political cycles.
