The multi-million naira initiative is trending at the absolute top of venture capital and startup forums because it offers a highly competitive total prize pool of $275,000 in equity-free grants and financial packages designed to scale early-stage solutions.
Aimed at accelerating high-potential ventures, the NSIA structured the NPI 4.0 cohort to target home-grown innovators specifically building scalable technologies within three high-impact national sectors: Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Climate & Food Security.
Beyond the immediate cash injections, the prize pool has triggered deep interest because it bridges a major structural funding gap for early-stage local startups that possess minimum viable products but lack the growth capital to capture mainstream regional markets.
What is adding significant momentum to the trend are the lucrative secondary growth tiers attached to this year’s competition.
Selected finalists stand a chance to secure direct equity expansion investments ranging between $500,000 and $1.5 million from international accelerator partners, alongside fully sponsored elite business training and accelerator boot camps.
