What was meant to be a joyous holiday celebration turned into a horrifying nightmare for a prominent Niger State businessman, Alhaji Danjuma, after his trusted private domestic security guard allegedly abducted his two young children in Minna.
Confirming the agonizing incident to journalists on Monday, June 1, 2026, the distressed father, who resides within the affluent Brighter Area of Minna, explained that the security guard took advantage of his absence on Sunday to whisk the children away on a newly purchased motorcycle, falsely claiming he was taking them out for a special ride to celebrate the festive Eid holidays.
Anxiety gripped the household when evening arrived without any sign of the children, prompting desperate family members to search local hospitals across Minna out of fear that they had been involved in a road traffic accident.

However, their worst fears were confirmed later that night when Alhaji Danjuma received a chilling phone call from anonymous individuals tracing their location to the notorious Erena forest area in Shiroro Local Government Area.
The callers confirmed that the children were in their custody and explicitly demanded a hefty ransom for their safe release.
