Practitioners revealed that despite statutory state commitments made in 2021 to construct dedicated resident doctors' quarters to ensure swift response to midnight medical emergencies, the project site has remained completely abandoned for years.
Frustrated doctors noted that designated infrastructural frameworks have sat idle for over two years without any construction activity, forcing the congress to transition from quiet diplomacy to raw industrial resistance.
Beyond the housing gridlock, the resident doctors are protesting severe administrative delays regarding specialized remuneration packages and structural promotions.
The association's specific demands include the immediate integration of senior registrars into the professional specialist allowance table, alongside the prompt liquidation of long-overdue advancement arrears owed to its members.
