The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a major kingpin intricately linked to the strategic theft and unlawful diversion of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) valued at a staggering ₦1.02 billion.

During a high-profile press briefing held on Tuesday at the command headquarters in Ikeja, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Fatai Tijani, revealed that joint intelligence operatives also successfully tracked down and recovered illicitly acquired cash and properties worth over ₦300 million directly tied to the multi-million naira petroleum crime.

The comprehensive investigation was initiated following an official criminal petition submitted to the police command by MEA Energy, accusing two corporate syndicates of masterminding a complex conspiracy and diversion of company petroleum products.
