In a massive political development that has broken conventional partisan divides ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office.
The shocking announcement was made public on Monday through a signed press release by the Governor's Spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed.
Adeleke, a prominent member of the opposition political class, outlined his decision during a routine field assessment of the ongoing federal reconstruction works on the strategic Ibadan-Ile Ife-Ilesa expressway.
He categorized the endorsement as a moral, development-driven action taken in the absolute best interest of the Osun populace and the wider Yoruba demographic.

Governor Adeleke explicitly described President Tinubu as "our own son, father, and leader," asserting that regional solidarity and rapid infrastructure delivery must take precedence over political party differences.
Pointing out that he presides over the ancestral birthplace of the President, Adeleke noted that his administration requires no external persuasion to throw its full weight behind the incumbent commander-in-chief.
While commending the pace and execution of current federal highway contracts within the state, the Governor expressed deep gratitude for the approvals granted for the reconstruction of the critical Ibadan-Iwo Road-Osogbo and Gbongan-Akoda corridors, while expressing optimism that the federal presidency will soon authorize full monetary refunds to Osun State for its self-funded rehabilitations of over 300 kilometers of local federal roads.
