Terrorists Demand N400 Million Ransom After Abducting Kwara Monarch

The incident occurred around midnight on Saturday, April 18, 2026, when over 10 armed men invaded the monarch’s residence, forced their way inside, and whisked him away alongside another occupant.

While the second victim was later abandoned in the bush after daring the terrorists to kill him because he could not walk without shoes, the monarch was led further into the forest.

The Chairman of Ifelodun LGA, Mr. Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, visited the community to sympathize with the residents and confirmed that security agencies, forest guards, and local vigilantes have intensified search-and-rescue operations.

This latest abduction has sparked fresh fears regarding the resurgence of insecurity in the Kwara South region.
