Media Personality Roby Ekpo Escalates Dispute with Ex-Wife Over Alleged US Marriage Fraud
Popular media figure Roby Ekpo has vowed to petition the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) against his ex-wife, Mayowa Lambe, following news of her recent marriage in the US.
Ekpo claims that the marriage is fraudulent as there has been no official divorce between them.
The dispute escalated after Lambe’s lawyers issued a cease-and-desist notice to Ekpo, demanding N100 million in damages for defamation. Ekpo, through Tap Legal Services, has dismissed the demand as "excessive and premature."
He maintains that his comments were based on personal experience and that he provided financial support for her travel to the US.
Ekpo has threatened to present his evidence to US authorities to protect his rights and interests.
