"I Handed Over My Structure to Him": Abiodun Addresses Feud With Former Ogun Governor

Governor Dapo Abiodun and Senator Gbenga Daniel political rift news

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has addressed the long-standing friction between himself and Senator Gbenga Daniel, claiming he was instrumental in the Senator's successful integration into the APC.

Speaking on the rift, Abiodun stated that he previously handed over his political structure to support Daniel and intervened during the senatorial primaries to ensure Daniel emerged as the Ogun East candidate.

“I persuaded other frontrunners in the race to step down,” the Governor revealed, expressing disappointment over alleged media attacks sponsored against him.

The feud, which has involved property disputes and exclusions from party meetings, remains a focal point of Ogun State politics as the 2027 election cycle approaches. Abiodun concluded by stating he would leave the matter to the Senator’s conscience.
