Prominent PDP elder Dan Ulasi has launched a scathing critique of the current state of the Peoples Democratic Party, labeling Nyesom Wike’s dual role—serving as a national leader while supporting the APC—as a "political aberration."
Speaking on Arise News on April 23, 2026, Ulasi argued that the party is currently suffering from a state of "political blindness" driven by stubborn arrogance.
Ulasi expressed deep frustration over the 2023 Eagle Square convention anomalies, where he claims northern delegates conspired to undermine the party's democratic processes.
He noted that the current structure, which he described as having an "APC head and a PDP body," is completely unsustainable.
In a notable revelation, Ulasi shared that he recently hosted Peter Obi at his home in Enugu. While Ulasi remains a consultant for the PDP, he admitted to seeing "tremendous hope" in Obi’s vision for Nigeria.
He concluded with a stark warning: if the PDP fails to provide honest answers to its internal contradictions during upcoming meetings, he will leave the party to remain an independent consultant.
