Kebbi Police arrest suspect over killing and motorcycle theft

The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old suspect in connection with the robbery and killing of a young man whose body was found in a forest in Ngaski Local Government Area of the state.

The victim, identified as Ibrahim Yahaya, aged 25, was discovered dead at about 8:30 a.m. on December 16, 2025, in Bakin Dutsi Forest, a remote area of Ngaski LGA. The incident sparked fear among residents and renewed calls for improved security along forest routes frequently used by commuters and farmers.

Acting on what the police described as credible intelligence, operatives swiftly tracked and arrested the suspect, Aminu Adamu, of Yauri Local Government Area, at about 2:20 p.m. on the same day.

The suspect was allegedly found in possession of a Haojue motorcycle believed to have been stolen from the deceased.
