Internationally renowned Nigerian music star, Davido, has added his voice to the growing national outcry over recent violent attacks in Kebbi and Kwara States. The singer took to his official X account on Wednesday to express his grief and frustration following the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi and a deadly church attack in Kwara.
According to a Daily post report, the nation was thrown into mourning after 25 secondary schoolgirls were abducted from Kebbi State on Monday. This was swiftly followed by a tragic attack on a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Kwara State on Tuesday evening, which left three people dead and resulted in the abduction of several members, including the pastor.

In a heartfelt statement, Davido reacted to the frightening security situation, stating, “No family deserves this pain.” He expressed his profound concern, emphasizing that such violence should never become the norm in Nigeria.
The "Unavailable" crooner extended his sympathies to the victims, saying, “My heart goes out to the young girls kidnapped in Kebbi and their families. No family deserves this pain." He also addressed the Kwara attack, adding, “I am deeply saddened by the tragic attack on the church in Kwara State. I pray for the families who lost loved ones and everyone affected by this heartbreaking incident."
Davido called for national unity and action, urging, “As Nigerians, we must stand together in unity and continue working towards a country where every child can grow up in safety and hope. Everything must be done to bring the girls home safely."
He concluded his message with a prayer and a strong rebuke, saying, “May God comfort the grieving families in Kwara, bring peace to our nation, and put every sponsor of violence and disorder to shame.”
