The disturbing incident occurred on May 28 in the Volta Region of Ghana, where the Edo State-born singer had relocated to further his education.
According to PUNCH Metro, Destiny had been living in Ghana with support from a fellow Nigerian who helped facilitate his travel and accommodation. However, events took a deadly turn when he was accused of mishandling funds connected to a business venture reportedly introduced by his sponsor and two other Nigerian associates.
Sources who spoke anonymously due to security concerns revealed that the suspects stormed Destiny’s apartment and severely beat him after he failed to provide satisfactory answers regarding the allegedly diverted funds.

The assault left the young artiste fatally wounded. He later succumbed to his injuries in the same apartment.
“Destiny went to Ghana to school, and his street brother arranged the trip and housing. But those same people accused him of diverting funds from a business deal. They beat him so badly that he couldn’t survive,” the source revealed.
Further reports indicate that the suspects abandoned Destiny’s lifeless body in his apartment. Ghanaian police later discovered his remains days after the attack when they were alerted by concerned individuals.
“At this moment, no arrests have been made,” said a second source, expressing concern over the lack of progress in the investigation. “We hope the Ghanaian authorities act fast and bring those responsible to justice.”
