In a tragic turn of events, a young media personality and activist, Marcus Samuel Dafe, was killed in Abraka, Delta State, just hours after participating in a protest against the rising cases of kidnapping in the region.
According to a report by Vanguard, Dafe had joined other youths on June 2, 2025, to protest the incessant kidnappings and murders plaguing Delta State. Tragically, on June 4, he was allegedly killed by kidnappers.
Dafe's last post on Facebook was shared earlier on the day of his death, moments before he was killed. Three days prior, he had made a Facebook post condemning the increased cases of kidnappings in Delta State.
The news of his death has sparked outrage among Delta youths, who have taken to various social media platforms to express their grief and demand action from the government to end insecurity in the state.
