In a bold move to outpace its competitors, Samsung Electronics has introduced its slimmest flagship smartphone to date—the Galaxy S25 Edge. Measuring a mere 5.8mm in thickness and weighing just 163 grams, this device combines portability with high-end performance, targeting younger consumers who prioritize sleek design without compromising functionality.

According to Reuters, the Galaxy S25 Edge boasts a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and features a 200MP main camera. Enhanced with AI capabilities, including real-time multimodal interactions through vision and voice, the smartphone aims to redefine user experience.

Samsung's Executive Vice President, Moon Sung-hoon, emphasized the company's commitment to innovation, stating that the device's slim design does not compromise performance or heat management.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is set to launch in South Korea on May 23 and in the United States on May 30, with plans to expand to approximately 30 countries, including China and European markets. Priced from $1,099, the smartphone is available in titanium silver, jet black, and an exclusive icy blue variant. With this release, Samsung aims to solidify its position in the global smartphone market, having recently overtaken Apple with a 20% market share in Q1 2025, as reported by Counterpoint Research.
