Former Manchester United captain and current Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane was involved in a heated confrontation with an Ipswich Town fan following a 1-1 draw between Manchester United and Ipswich at Portman Road.
As reported by TalkSPORT, the incident occurred during a commercial break in Sky Sports' post-match coverage. Keane, who managed Ipswich from 2009 to 2011, was seen exchanging words with a supporter, reportedly saying, "I'll wait for you in the car park," after being taunted about his managerial tenure.
The fan, identified as Neil Finbow, later posted on social media about the encounter, expressing his long-standing grievances against Keane's time at the club. "I was reminding him that he set us back five years and ruined our football club," Finbow wrote.
Sky Sports has since initiated an internal review of the incident, seeking accounts from Keane's colleagues and production staff present during the altercation.
This episode adds to the scrutiny surrounding Manchester United's current challenges under new manager Ruben Amorim, who is striving to improve the team's performance amidst a demanding schedule.
