According to reports, Mbappe scored a decisive brace in Madrid’s 2-0 win over Real Sociedad, boosting his total to 62 points in the Golden Boot race—surpassing Gyokeres' 58.5 and Salah's 56. The scoring system values goals from Europe’s top five leagues at two points each, giving Mbappe the edge.
Salah needed a hat-trick on the Premier League’s final day to catch Mbappe but managed only one goal in Liverpool’s 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace.
Despite the setback, Salah matched Alan Shearer and Andy Cole’s record of 47 goal contributions in a single Premier League season.
