Veteran Nollywood actress Jumoke George’s 41-year-old daughter, Adeola, who was declared missing for four years, has finally been located in Mali. The breakthrough came after actress Biola Bayo shared an emotional update on Instagram, confirming that Adeola was found through the efforts of the Child Rights Campaign (CRC).
According to Biola Bayo, Adeola was traced to Mali, where she had traveled in search of better opportunities. Though she has not yet directly contacted her mother, reports confirm she is alive and receiving medical attention. Biola posted, “UPDATE! Adeola has been spotted in Mali. She hasn’t spoken with her mom yet, but she’s currently in the hospital. Please tell her to call her.”
In a later update, Biola shared a voice call with Adeola, who revealed she lost her phone and was stranded due to military conflicts involving Boko Haram terrorists. Adeola explained she had no travel documents or means to return home. Biola captioned the post, “She hasn’t called her mom, but mom is happy she’s alive.”
Jumoke George, who had earlier broken down in an interview about her daughter’s disappearance, is reportedly hospitalized in Lagos due to stress. Fans and colleagues have flooded social media with relief and prayers.
