Dr. Evelyn Lewis, the Chief Executive Officer of SBTS Group, has been honored as one of Nigeria’s “50 Most Valuable Personalities in the Digital Economy,” a prestigious annual recognition by ITEdgeNews Africa.
The award highlights public and private sector leaders advancing the country’s digital transformation agenda. Dr. Lewis stood out for her groundbreaking contributions to human capital development, digital job creation, and innovative tech training initiatives across Nigeria.
According to reports, Lewis is driving one of Africa’s most ambitious digital workforce development programs through a strategic collaboration between SBTS Group and the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI). The initiative aims to train five million Nigerian youths and generate over 50,000 digital jobs by 2030 — a bold step towards realizing the federal government’s 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) vision.

Central to this initiative is the Intelligent Capacity Building Model (ICBM), a revolutionary platform developed by Lewis that aligns skill development directly with employability. Implemented at DBI campuses nationwide, the ICBM offers career paths in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), cybersecurity, software development, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital entrepreneurship.
As part of the next phase, SBTS and DBI will launch training and BPO centers starting in Abuja and Enugu this June, expected to provide 5,000 jobs in the pilot phase. Beyond training, Dr. Lewis has also spearheaded the development of an integrated digital learning infrastructure that incorporates national identity systems such as NIN and BVN — streamlining registration, sponsorship tracking, and career development.
Her recognition as a Digital MVP underscores her role in bridging Nigeria’s skills gap and laying a robust digital foundation for inclusive economic growth.
