The bombshell sex trafficking trial of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs took a dramatic turn on Tuesday, May 27, as his former assistant Capricorn Clark testified in Manhattan federal court that the Bad Boy Entertainment founder threatened to kill rapper Kid Cudi and subjected her to terrifying abuse while working under him.
Clark, the 17th government witness in the high-profile case, described a disturbing pattern of threats, coercion, and violence. She alleged that Diddy once took her to Central Park at night with his security team and threatened her life after discovering she had previously worked for Death Row Records, founded by his longtime rival Suge Knight.
“He told me if anything happened, he’d have to kill me,” Clark testified.
The court also heard that Diddy accused her of theft, forced her to take lie detector tests for five days straight, and said she’d be dumped in the East River if she failed. She also detailed brutal working conditions—20-hour days with little rest—and described how the stress led her to develop alopecia.
Clark further testified that Diddy often asked her to procure drugs, including ecstasy and cocaine, and prepare hotel rooms under aliases “Frank Black” or “Frank White” with items like lubricants, cameras, and IV drips—allegedly for his so-called “freak offs.”
The most chilling moment came when Clark broke down recounting a 2011 incident. She claimed Diddy stormed into her house with a gun and ordered her to help him confront Kid Cudi, who was dating his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
“He said, ‘Get dressed, we’re going to kill him,’” Clark told the jury.
She said she tried to warn Ventura while Diddy and a bodyguard entered Cudi’s home. Although Kid Cudi managed to escape, Clark said she witnessed Combs later assaulting Cassie, kicking her while she curled up in the fetal position.
After reporting the kidnapping attempt to Bad Boy executives, Clark claimed she was fired and later told she’d “never work again” unless she returned and asked for forgiveness—which she eventually did in 2016.
Clark stated her relationship with Combs was always platonic, despite defense lawyers presenting a 2021 text where she admitted having a crush on him. She denied remembering the message.
Combs, who faces charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and more, has pleaded not guilty. If convicted, he could face life in prison.
