Two people were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle in Naqoura, a southern coastal town in Lebanon, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry. 

The strike, which resulted in a charred vehicle near the headquarters of the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon, is part of a series of ongoing hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah along the border. 

The conflict, exacerbated by the recent Gaza war, has seen frequent exchanges of fire, leading to over 560 deaths in Lebanon since October 8.

In response to the escalating violence, the British government announced it would suspend certain weapon exports to Israel, citing potential breaches of international law. 

The situation remains tense as both sides continue to trade strikes, raising concerns over further escalation.
