Nigerian gospel music has lost another shining star as popular singer Dele Agbeyo, widely known as Dele Gold, passed away following a brief illness. 

His sudden death has left fans and colleagues in shock, with many taking to social media to express their grief.

Fellow gospel artist Alayo Melody was among the first to break the news, writing: "Dele Gold Kee??? This is becoming too much! May God help us stop untimely deaths. Rest in peace, Dele Agbeyo." Another gospel singer, 

Wonder Doyin Kujore, added, "Nothing is in this world; we live for today and leave tomorrow for God. Rest in peace, Dele Gold."

Dele Gold, a native of Usi, Ekiti State, was raised in Faforiji, Osun State, and was known for his powerful and soulful gospel music. 

His death is a major loss to the gospel music community, which has been shaken by a string of untimely deaths in recent years.
