The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Kwara State has proposed mandatory drug tests as a requirement for admission into tertiary institutions. 

The agency's commander, Hajia Fatima Abiola-Popoola, made this call while addressing journalists in Ilorin, expressing concern over the rising number of drug users in Nigeria, particularly among women.

According to her, drug tests would act as a preventive measure in curbing drug abuse among students, thereby safeguarding the future of the society.
