Ryan Evans, a British safety advisor for Reuters, tragically lost his life in a missile strike on the Hotel Sapphire in Kramatorsk, Ukraine.

The attack, believed to be carried out by Russian forces, struck the hotel where Evans and five other Reuters staff were staying. 

Ukrainian authorities identified the weapon as a short-range Iskander-M missile. Reuters mourned Evans's loss, highlighting his significant contributions to their global news coverage.
