Just days after the tragic killing of the Emir of Gobir, Alhaji Isa Muhammad Bawa, bandits have launched a fresh wave of attacks in the Gobir Emirate, Sokoto State, abducting over 150 people and rustling more than 1,000 cattle. 

The abduction spree comes amid mounting security concerns, as the bandits were reportedly able to operate with impunity.

Local sources reveal that these criminals continue to terrorize the region, exploiting local contacts and moving freely despite a heightened security presence. 

The community is now in dire need of federal intervention as the situation continues to escalate.
