African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain Dele Momodu has countered recent statements made by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, regarding the outcome of the Osun State governorship election.
Momodu characterized Wike's claims—that he could have delivered victory for the ruling party had he intervened—as an "empty boast".
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television's Politics Today, the Ovation Magazine publisher asserted that no single political figure holds absolute influence over electoral decisions.
Momodu noted that high-profile political figures and incumbent governors were unable to alter the outcome in Osun State, emphasizing that voters ultimately determine election results at the ballot box.
