Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have successfully arrested a suspected terrorist informant lurking near the entrance of the 25 Brigade Headquarters in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.
The suspect was apprehended during a routine late-night perimeter patrol after being spotted attempting to conceal himself behind security barriers leading into the military installation.
Upon apprehension, security forces recovered items including a torchlight and prayer beads from the suspect, who was immediately taken into custody at the 25 Medical Inspection Room for preliminary interrogation.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama noted that the arrest underscores the military’s heightened vigilance against espionage attempts by Boko Haram or ISWAP insurgents trying to compromise defense infrastructure across the North-East theater.
"The suspect was spotted hiding behind the first security barrier at the entrance leading from Damboa town to the Brigade headquarters, raising suspicion among the patrol team."
