28-Year-Old Man Remanded for Sharing Partners' Nudes on TikTok

The Magistrate Court sitting in Owerri, Imo State, has officially remanded a 28-year-old man, identified as Uzochukwu Ikenna Wisdom, in prison custody following severe allegations of cyber-blackmail, digital abuse, and extensive sexual extortion targeting multiple young women.

The suspect's operational downfall materialized after he allegedly leaked explicit, intimate recordings of his girlfriend of two years across major social media networks, including Facebook and TikTok.

According to investigative reports compiled by the Virgin Heart Foundation—an Owerri-based non-governmental organization specializing in gender-based violence response—Wisdom was deeply entrenched in a predatory pattern of secretly filming young women during highly private, intimate encounters.

He reportedly weaponized these illicit recordings as leverage, threatening to broadcast them online whenever he encountered personal or financial disagreements with his victims.

"The law caught up with him when he shared nudes of his girlfriend of two years online with the intent to sell to adult websites. The police saw nude videos of many young women who are also his victims... Marjorie Ezihe of the Sisters with the Goal Initiative and our organization are working together to stabilize the victim because we found out she attempted suicide many times," the Virgin Heart Foundation revealed in a public brief.

Following his immediate arrest, command detectives conducting structural digital forensics discovered an alarming inventory of explicit files featuring numerous young women, many of whom are believed to be undergraduates of the nearby Imo State University (IMSU).

The victimized girlfriend reportedly fell into severe psychological trauma, prompting emergency medical and mental health interventions from grassroots support networks to prevent further self-harm.

The Owerri Magistrate Court has ordered the suspect to remain incarcerated at the correctional facility while the state prosecution team finalizes bill-of-charges documentation for an institutional trial under the Cybercrimes Prohibition Act.
