A routine dispute in a social media group chat escalated into fatal street violence on the streets of North London, culminating in the conviction of an 18-year-old Nigerian, Emmanuel Popoola, and his accomplices at the Old Bailey court.
According to a comprehensive release from the London Metropolitan Police, Popoola—who performed under the drill rap name "Constancy"—orchestrated the drive-by shooting of 18-year-old Keanu Harker in Enfield following an online argument that severely bruised his ego.
The tragic chain of events unfolded on June 26, 2025, when Harker was riding his bicycle along Great Cambridge Road.
Digital forensics teams checking the mobile phones of both the victim and the suspect uncovered a series of saved voice messages exchanged within a Snapchat group chat dedicated to rival street gangs in the Enfield area.
The records explicitly proved that Popoola became enraged after gang members mocked him, implying that he lacked the money to purchase data for his mobile device.
Seeking violent retribution for the online slight, Popoola armed himself with a self-loading pistol. Accompanied by Tayvon Etefia on a high-speed Sur-ron electric dirt bike, the duo tailed Harker before Popoola fired three close-range shots, striking the victim in the head and chest.
Following the murder, the group attempted to destroy evidence and flee the United Kingdom.

Etefia was intercepted by British Transport Police at St Pancras International Station just two minutes before his Eurostar train departed for France, while Popoola successfully hid in Paris before a joint operation by UK detectives and French authorities led to his arrest and subsequent extradition.
