Muyiwa Adekeye, the Media Adviser to former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, is trending across national news channels after launching a severe public attack against the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over the medical treatment of his principal.
The issue is trending intensely because Adekeye officially accused the anti-graft agency of intentionally denying El-Rufai access to critical medical care while holding him in custody.
According to the formal statement, El-Rufai’s health has deteriorated severely, leaving him with heavily swollen, red, and irritated eyes following a specialized clinic visit on June 4.
Adekeye singled out a specific operative within the commission, accusing them of actively misleading El-Rufai’s family by falsely claiming the former governor had personally refused to see a medical doctor.
