The Ogun State Police Command has recorded a major operational breakthrough in its ongoing investigation into the brutal double murder of former Ogun State Television (OGTV) broadcaster, Kitan Oyesiku, and her personal security guard.
Police public relations officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed on Monday that tactical operatives successfully recovered the retired presenter's missing luxury vehicle, a Lexus RX300, during an aggressive late-night security sweep.
The vehicle had been discovered missing from the victim's compound in Iyana Agodo Village, within the Owode-Egba area, leading detectives to conclude that the assailants used the automobile as their primary getaway vehicle after launching a forced entry into the apartment.

Following the recovery, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, personally visited the cordoned residence to conduct an exhaustive on-the-spot assessment and receive direct strategic briefings from the active homicide unit handling the case.
"The vehicle earlier reported missing from the residence, a Lexus RX300, has been recovered by police operatives during the night hours," PPRO Oluseyi Babaseyi stated. "The vehicle has since been secured as part of the ongoing investigation. Significant progress is being made and further developments will be communicated."
CP Ojajuni formally commiserated with the immediate family members of the deceased, the management staff of OGTV, and the regional media community, reiterating that the state has mobilized its entire digital and physical surveillance apparatus to hunt down the killers.
Forensic teams are currently processing the interior of the recovered Lexus RX300 for fingerprints and biological evidence, with the command reassuring the public that the perpetrators will face the full weight of the law.
