Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Urges Ekiti Voters to Reject Failed Leadership

The capital city of Ekiti State was brought to a standstill on Saturday, June 13, 2026, as high-ranking national stakeholders, executive chieftains, and thousands of loyal party faithful belonging to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) staged a massive campaign grand finale rally to solidify absolute support for the party's governorship candidate, Dr. Wole Oluyede, ahead of the highly anticipated June 20, 2026 gubernatorial election.

The political rally, which took place at the prestigious Great Eagle Hall along the busy Ikere Road corridor in Ado-Ekiti, generated unprecedented human and vehicular gridlock, entirely overwhelming standard transportation networks as crowds spilled into major thoroughfares to demonstrate their alignment with the opposition movement.

Delivering an impassioned speech to the roaring crowd, the Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, made a fiery case for a total democratic overhaul in Ekiti State.

She charged voters across all 16 local government areas to convert their street enthusiasm into actual ballot numbers next Saturday, emphasizing that Dr. Oluyede possesses the requisite intellectual competence, economic vision, and structural experience to rescue the state from developmental stagnation.

Shedding light on the strategic zoning rationale, Ekiti PDP State Chairman, Hon. Lanre Omolase, maintained that the impending election offers an unmissable opportunity to enshrine political equity, fairness, and structural justice by permanently shifting executive power to the long-neglected Ekiti South Senatorial District.

Omolase argued that the southern district had paid its dues to the political development of the state and deserved the opportunity to occupy the Government House through Dr. Oluyede.

Taking the microphone, the PDP flagbearer, Dr. Wole Oluyede, implored the electorate to guard their permanent voter cards and vote overwhelmingly for the PDP, promising an immediate change in governance that prioritizes job creation for youths, aggressive healthcare expansion, structural educational reforms, and rural economic emancipation.
