Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has issued an apology to Galatasaray fans after the team failed to secure the Turkish Super Lig title on Saturday.
The "Yellow and Reds" suffered a surprising 4-1 defeat at the hands of Samsunspor, preventing them from being crowned champions with two games to spare.

Despite the setback, Galatasaray remains top of the table with 74 points—four ahead of rivals Fenerbahçe. Speaking to Fotomac, Osimhen admitted the performance was below par.
“We knew it wouldn’t be easy to win the title here, and we didn’t play well. We apologize to the fans, but we will officially secure the championship at home next weekend,” Osimhen assured.
A win against Antalyaspor next week will confirm Galatasaray as back-to-back champions.
