Olorunseunfunmi Awosogbon, a female spa worker popularly known as Ajoke, is undergoing specialist treatment in Ikeja after being attacked with acid in Lekki Phase 1.
The attack is allegedly linked to a vengeful dispute involving her employer, Olorunmaye Ifeoluwa, and her employer's former partner, 25-year-old Owolabi Daniel.
The incident occurred on October 25, 2025, when Awosogbon arrived for a home-service massage booking at Lakowe Golf Gate.
She was allegedly approached by Ziaulihak Zakari, who poured the corrosive substance on her.
Investigations suggest that Daniel hired Zakari to target Ifeoluwa’s business after she ended their relationship. “The messages contained threats to my life... the sender indicated that the attack was not the end,” Ifeoluwa revealed.
Both suspects are currently facing charges of conspiracy, threats to life, and causing bodily harm at an Ebute-Metta Magistrate Court.
However, the victim’s lawyer, John Olobayo, has criticized the current charges as too lenient given the severity of the permanent injuries.
According to Qubes Magazine, the suspects were granted bail, raising safety concerns for the spa owner and her remaining staff.
One suspect’s father reportedly sold his house to fund the victim’s initial ₦60 million surgery costs.
