The grieving family of Mr. Michael Oyedokun, the senior mathematics teacher who was brutally executed following a mass school abduction in Oyo State, has issued a passionate public appeal urging social media users, digital bloggers, and online news platforms to immediately cease the circulation of the graphic videos and photographs documenting his gruesome killing.
The horrific incident stems from a coordinated invasion last Friday, when heavily armed bandits stormed the Ahoro-Esinele community within the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The terrorists systematically targeted four local schools, abducting an unconfirmed number of primary pupils, secondary students, and academic staff members.
On Sunday, May 17, the criminal network released a deeply disturbing propaganda video across encrypted digital networks showing the sub-human execution of Mr. Oyedokun, throwing his immediate community and extended family into deep mourning.

Taking to Facebook on Tuesday afternoon, a direct relative of the deceased, Adesewa Oladosu, voiced the agonizing psychological trauma the family has been subjected to by the continuous algorithms driving the graphic media across digital spaces.
She emphasized that the viral content is actively damaging the mental health of his surviving loved ones, particularly his immediate children who are currently sitting for their terminal West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
In the emotional public notice, Oladosu wrote:
“Hello everyone, please we sincerely appeal to the public and media platforms to kindly reduce or stop sharing the graphic videos and pictures of our beloved uncle.
We truly appreciate the love, concern, and sympathy shown towards our family during this painful time. However, the continuous circulation of those videos and images is deeply traumatizing for us as a family.
His children are currently writing their WAEC exams, and it has been extremely difficult emotionally for them, his elderly loved ones, and all of us his nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives especially as these contents keep appearing on social media.
For the sake of our mental and emotional wellbeing, we humbly ask that if it is necessary to post about the incident, please kindly blur the videos/images or make use of the pictures officially released by the family instead.”
The family's public plea highlights a growing concern among human rights advocates regarding the unregulated distribution of terrorist execution media across Nigerian digital channels.
While state security services and the Oyo State Ministry of Education continue to maintain a media blackout regarding tactical rescue counter-operations for the remaining captives from Community High School Ahoro-Esinele, the Oyedokun family has implored the public to respect their collective mourning period and support their quest for emotional stability through responsible digital behavior.
