A school principal, several staff members, and dozens of schoolchildren abducted by heavily armed gunmen from the Ahoro-Esinele community in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State have made a desperate public appeal for rescue from their kidnappers' camp.
The mass abduction occurred on Friday when terrorists launched coordinated morning raids targeting three educational institutions simultaneously: the Baptist Nursery and Primary School in Yawota, Community Grammar School in Esiele, and L.A. Primary School in Ogbomoso.
The Oyo State Police Command had previously confirmed that a school teacher and an commercial motorcycle rider were brutally killed during the initial chaos of the assault.
Local sources indicate that at least 45 schoolchildren, alongside administrative staff, were marched into the forests.

In a highly emotional video that began circulating widely across social media platforms on Sunday, the abducted school principal, Mrs. Rachael Alamu, could be seen pleading with state and federal authorities to secure their freedom. Speaking under clear duress alongside other victims, Mrs. Alamu stated:
“On Friday at around 9:30, we were attacked by a certain group of people. A good number of us were abducted, the staff and the students as well. We have been here since Friday. I am making this video to ask for help from everyone. They should come to our help and settle this thing peacefully so that our lives will not be lost.”
Another distraught victim captured in the viral footage, identified simply as Temitope, was seen clutching a baby while echoing the desperate plea for immediate intervention.
She confirmed her employment with the First Baptist Church in Ogbomoso, stating that both educators and young learners are undergoing severe emotional trauma.
Temitope lamented the deteriorating condition of the hostages, reporting that the abducted children have been crying continuously due to hunger, exhaustion, and fear.
The victims made a passionate appeal to President Bola Tinubu's administration, Governor Seyi Makinde, and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to step in and resolve the crisis before any further lives are lost in captivity.
