‘They Want to Scare Me Off, But It Won’t Work’ — Tinubu Blasts Opposition

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu speaking at Renewed Hope Ambassadors meeting in Abuja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent a stern message to opposition elements attempting to distract his administration, declaring that he remains "resolute" in his mission to transform Nigeria.

Speaking at a meeting with the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the State House in Abuja, the President insisted that intimidation tactics used by his critics would fail.

Addressing the leadership of the movement, Tinubu emphasized that the current economic reforms are necessary to lift citizens out of poverty and hopelessness.

He noted that he is no stranger to political battles and is prepared to stay the course for the country's progress.

“They want to scare me off. It’s a lie. I’ve been through this path before, and if I have to come back over and over again, I’ll do the same thing,” President Tinubu told the cheering audience.

The President also stressed the importance of the judiciary and the rule of law, noting that democracy depends on respecting court orders whether they are favorable or not.

Supporting the President’s stance, Governor Hope Uzodinma, the Director General of the movement, described members as "envoys" tasked with "political evangelism" to explain the benefits of these reforms to the grassroots.
