Troops of Sector 2, Operation UDO KA, have successfully apprehended five suspects linked to the brutal killing of a police officer in Delta State.
The early morning raid took place on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at a hideout in Nwofe, Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Among those detained is a suspected IPOB/ESN kingpin known as "Calamity."

According to Lt Col Olabisi Ayeni, Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, 82 Division, the suspects were involved in a February 2026 ambush at Okuku-Igbo, Delta State.
That attack left one officer dead, another injured, and resulted in the theft of two AK-47 rifles.
The suspects reportedly fled Delta State due to intense security pressure, attempting to establish a new operational base in Ebonyi.
Items recovered during the raid include five mobile phones and a motorcycle.
The Army stated that the suspects are undergoing interrogation to help dismantle their wider network and recover the stolen weaponry.
