The Imo State Police Command has issued a public invitation to individuals whose motorcycles were stolen or snatched to come forward and identify their property.
This follows the recovery of approximately 450 motorcycles during various operations aimed at curbing crime in the state.
Speaking on behalf of the Command, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Henry Okoye, noted that while a press release was initially issued on April 6, 2026, many of the recovered items remain unclaimed.
He urged the public, both within and outside Imo State, to take advantage of this opportunity to recover their lost property.
“Claimants are required to report at the Imo State Police Command Headquarters, Owerri, or the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, with credible proof of ownership,” Okoye stated.
Rightful owners must provide purchase receipts, registration documents, engine and chassis numbers, or any other verifiable means of identification.
The Command assured that strict verification will be conducted to ensure the bikes are released only to their genuine owners.
