ADC Remains Cautiously Optimistic Amidst Supreme Court Stalemate and Executive Interference Claims
Ibrahim Garba Wala, a stalwart of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has insisted that the party boasts the most qualified political leaders in Nigeria, even as a leadership crisis hangs in the balance at the Supreme Court.
Speaking on TrustTV News, Wala slammed what he termed the executive branch’s interference in party affairs, designed to create distractions ahead of the 2027 elections.
Wala challenged the INEC Chairman’s interpretation of recent court orders, which he claims has caused widespread anxiety within the political system.
Despite the legal stalemate, Wala revealed that the party is moving forward with internal plans for primary elections, noting that the law requires an "accelerated hearing" for such critical cases.
“The government is uncomfortable with the freedom of certain party leaders and is using state resources to distract the opposition. Even the APC cannot claim to have the 'best 11' found within the ADC,” Wala asserted.
