Heavily armed operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have taken control of the Maitama residence of the former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, SAN.
The operation, which occurred on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, saw a team led by Folarin Dare arrive at the luxury property in at least five buses to enforce a forfeiture process.
The residence, located at No. 2 Koranakh Close, off Amazon Street in Abuja, was completely barricaded, with anti-graft personnel blocking all access roads leading to the house.
According to reports from eyewitnesses and security sources, the move is part of a widening investigation into alleged financial improprieties and the acquisition of assets during Malami's tenure in office.
The former AGF has been under intense scrutiny since leaving the cabinet, with investigators looking into various multi-billion naira transactions.
