Dapper Music and Entertainment has officially announced the signing of Crown Uzama, better known as Shallipopi, to its elite roster.
The partnership marks a pivotal moment for the Benin City-born artist, whose meteoric rise from underground sensation to a cultural voice has redefined the street-pop landscape in Nigeria.
Shallipopi first captured national attention with the viral success of “Elon Musk,” a track that generated millions of streams and sparked a social media frenzy.
Prior to this, independent releases like “Gra Gra” and “Shaka” had already established his reputation for playful lyricism and high-energy delivery.
Under the new deal, Dapper Music—led by Founder and CEO Damilola “Dapper” Akinwunmi—will provide comprehensive support including branding, distribution, PR, and performance management.
