Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has called on the Gunners' faithful to create a "wall of noise" at Wembley this Sunday as they face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final.
With Arsenal currently leading the Premier League and competing in four competitions, Arteta believes the hunger for silverware has reached a boiling point.
This final marks a significant milestone for the 43-year-old manager, as it is the first major domestic cup final Arsenal will play with fans present since their 2020 FA Cup win during the pandemic.
Arteta emphasized that the six-year trophy drought has added a "necessity" and "drive" to the squad's preparations.
“Be with us, push for every ball, for every action,” Arteta told fans. “Show how much we really want it and together attack the final.”
Despite the excitement surrounding a potential quadruple, Arteta remained guarded about his starting XI.
While Pep Guardiola confirmed James Trafford will start in goal for City, Arteta refused to choose between David Raya and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Furthermore, the fitness of captain Martin Ødegaard (knee) and defender Jurriën Timber remains uncertain, with late fitness tests scheduled for Saturday.
Addressing his relationship with his former mentor, Pep Guardiola, Arteta noted that while they are now rivals in London and Manchester, his admiration for the City boss remains unchanged.
"The inspiration has been since I was little for me. That’s never going to change," he concluded.
