Harrysong Denies Ex-Wife's Custody Allegations, Vows to Protect Children

Singer Harrysong serious portrait custody response ex-wife Alexer Peres

Nigerian singer Harrysong has publicly responded to his ex-wife, Alexer Peres, following her emotional claims of being denied access to their two children. The singer has vehemently denied the allegations, reaffirming his commitment as an involved father and his decision to avoid public drama for the sake of the children's future.

The dispute escalated after Alexer Peres took to Instagram to announce she was relinquishing custody, alleging harassment and interference. She claimed the singer is rarely present, leaving the children primarily in the care of domestic staff.

In a detailed response, Harrysong refuted the core accusation, stating his restraint is a conscious choice to protect the family's privacy. “I’ve chosen restraint to protect the mother of my children and, most importantly, our kids because what’s said online lives forever. I previously made the mistake of speaking from emotion and learnt the hard way," he wrote. "I never said she couldn’t have access to them."

He emphasized that the custody arrangement was made for private reasons not suitable for public discourse. The "Baba Baba" crooner described himself as an active provider, even during periods when the children were in their mother's care. He expressed hurt over the circulating narrative, warning it could damage the "very image and career that supports our children."

Concluding his statement, Harrysong stressed that his primary focus remains on their well-being, safety, and development, and he will not engage in a public back-and-forth that could ultimately harm them.
