In a heartbreaking turn of events, Alexer Peres, the ex-wife of Nigerian singer Harrysong, has announced her decision to temporarily give up custody of their two young children. The emotional announcement was made via an Instagram story video, citing unbearable pressure and alleged harassment from the singer.
Alexer, mother to their four and three-year-old children, explained that she has been shouldering parenting duties alone since their separation, with the children only visiting their father occasionally. “I didn’t plan to come on here, but I want this to serve as evidence that I’m making the hardest decision of my life. At this point, I have no option,” she stated in the video.
She leveled serious allegations against Harrysong, accusing him of constant interference that disrupts her ability to care for their kids. “This man has not let me rest. He frustrates my efforts and harasses me everywhere,” Alexer added, claiming he shows up unannounced.
While vowing to address any legal matters in court, she expressed being overwhelmed by the current emotional turmoil. Her primary concern for now is the children's welfare in their father's custody. “I’m giving him custody for now. That doesn’t mean I won’t come back for my children,” she asserted, voicing worry over them being left with domestic staff in Harrysong's absence.
“No mother wants to live without her children, but I don’t know what else to do. I’ll always come back. I want you in my life,” she concluded tearfully. The couple, who married in 2021 and have been public about their marital strife, saw Alexer declare she was "officially done" with the marriage in January 2024, while Harrysong has previously requested privacy.
